Sometimes I raise these indoors when the weather gets cold and wet. I hatched my last caterpillar out of 12 in which I raised on my milkweed plant. And on Jan 4, I let it go when the wings were ready.

Today I saw one on a plant near the back entrance to Los Cerritos Elementary School in Bixby Knolls, Long Beach, CA. I check on it daily to see how it's doing when I bring my son to school.
