Robin (OTHER Observations)

Date: 01/11/2014

Number: 1

A great place to feed robins year-round is on a flat elevated surface. We feed robins on the railing of our front porch and an even better place is on top of a cable box or electrical box if you have one in your yard. We have a 3 ft cube box by a crabapple tree. The flat surface is a great place to put fruit and offers robins a safe place to eat with good visibility of any approaching neighborhood cats. Every winter we have a robin who doesn't migrate and hangs out at our house feasting on grapes, blueberries and cranberries. We also have a mountain ash nearby that is enjoyed later in the winter.
