After living in Algonquin for almost 40 years, I had my first personal sighting Saturday January 11th, 2014. Since then, we have been blessed to see up to 6 eagles at a time (mostly bald but at least 1 immature)on the Fox River in Algonquin. Mostly they have been between the rte 62 dam and the Prairie trail bike trail bridge. Often they are perched across the river from our neighbors yard and in the tree of another neighbors yard. It is amazing to see them glide!
