I have lived in Minnesota all my life but can't remember seeing a robin this far north in Jan. It sits in my fruit pin cheery tree. Last spring we experienced the first robin nest over our outside light fixture. The tree is 20 feet from the nest. I was wondering if this could be a reason for the early arrival of this bird too. I feed all the birds and furry creatures that live in the area. Can I put out fruit to help it along until spring?
