Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 01/19/2014

Number: 100

We woke up this morning to a yard full of robin. I counted to about 100 and gave up. They were in the trees and on the ground eating something - no idea what. It was 31 degrees at the time. Averages highs are 41 but lately it has been much colder with typical highs in the 30s and 40s but lows in the mid-teens to low 20s. Two weeks ago we had a low of -3. I have never seen anything like this "swarm", much less this early in the year. They appeared to be all male - they all had very red breasts. Got a bunch of pictures and video of them flying everywhere.
