On Jan 12 I visited the Camino Real Park overwintering site in Ventura, Calif. (south-central coast north of Los Angeles) around 11:45 pm in the late morning when it was a balmy 67 degrees F. There were about 3,500 monarchs there. Here's a 4 minute video that includes a lot of close up footage of the clusters:
