My husband saw several yesterday and this morning I saw at least 6 just 2-3 feet of our front window. A few we're eating berries from our holly bushes before flying away to join a large flock of birds heading west. I am assuming they were also robins. One very interesting looking robin had a black and white speckled head. They were beautiful and as curious about me as I was in them :-)
It is such a surprise to see them in the Detroit area in January .... Especially since it has been such a cold winter this year. Just a week ago it was below zero. About 20 degrees this morning, but more cold on the way. Dropping to 9 degree high in a couple of days. Find warmth little birds.
Thank you for teaching us what to feed them. Berries and water are on the porch!
