Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 01/25/2014

Number: 15

This was the first that I spotted a robin in my area. I don't usually see them until just before spring. The large group was in my neighbors yard, under a cedar tree. There were at least 15, but maybe up to 20.I have since seen 1 at a time in my yard, mostly under my cedar tree. I have put out apple slices and grapes in hopes of helping them eat.

I have many other birds that I feed all winter - Cardinals, Goldfinches, Sparrows, Titmice, Nuthatches, Chickadees,Blue Jays, Juncos, and 3 kinds of Woodpeckers. I have noticed the return of the Purple Finches about 3 weeks ago. I also have seen a White-Throated Sparrow off and on this winter.
