Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 01/28/2014

Number: 1

I have had two birdfeeders on my kitchen window all winter and never have had a single bird find them so when I saw movement on the ground from a large floor to ceiling window in same room it caught my eye immediately thinking FINALLY the feeders attracted
a bird which was not the case. Instead much to my surprise I saw
three ROBINS pecking the ground looking for worms.. a lovely sight in view of the fact that it is now 16 degrees with a wind chill of about -10. with more snow forecast for tonight. I do not think spring is around the corner anytime soon, but it certainly
was a welcome sight for me. I never fed Robins, but I believe they will eat mealworms so will stop by Wild Birds and get some ideas from them. I know they eat berries also.. So perhaps I never got any birds on my window feeders but now I have the beautiful Red Breasted Robins to watch.
