Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 01/28/2014

Number: 30

It was incredible!! There were at least 30 robins with about a dozen starlings who descended on the back yard where the feeders are. It's not unusual to have a few starlings scavaging at the suet, but never robins! The berries are all long gone. The robins seemed to be following the starlings lead. All were eating snow, even though there is a heated source of water available for drinking (and bathing, if needed, I suppose). They all stayed at least an hour, then all but a handful went into the woods behind the house. I hope they find a food source and stay here until I can get some mealworms for them at the store. Meanwhile, this gift was extraordinary!!!
