Jan 12, 14: After the big freeze that got deep into the Heart
of Texas all the way to far south TX brush country and to the Gulf shores, we were surprised to be watching a faded female Monarch trying hard to find a few nectar sources just after noon today (January 12). There was a fair amount of fade and some tatter ... she
might have been blown in by the strong NW winds but I know that there are some flower gardens that HAD A. curassavica up to a week ago. We have had Monarch eggs and larvae earlier in January. Today's female: http://mcmc.homestead.com/11214.html
