Robin (First HEARD singing)

Date: 01/28/2014

Number: 1

For two winters now I've hosted a solitary male robin at my feeder. He eats suet, sunflower hearts, cookie crumbs, blueberries and holly berries (and worms when it's warm enough). I've affectionately named him "Boss Robin", as he chases away any bird that's smaller than him when he's feeding. This morning, even though it was only about 10ºF at the time, he awoke me by vigorously singing his beautiful spring song from somewhere in the vicinity of my back patio. Best. Alarm. Clock. Ever. Love him!!!
