This has been an unusual cold and snowy winter in Michigan. We have two suet feeders, on tube seed feeder and a house-like feeder for seed in our backyard I was watching the feeders and noticed the male Robin in the tree where two of our feeders are hanging. It flew away into the trees next to our property. I noticed it stayed in the area, because it perched on our deck later in the day. I'm concerned about his diet. Will they eat seed and/or suet? I haven't observed him on any of the feeders or on the ground eating dropped food. It's way to early for them to find earthworms as the snow is several inches thick, plus we are expecting 3-5 tonight. What other foods should I offer this boy? I don't want to lose him! I have been unable to take a picture of him. If I do, I'll send it.
