I first saw the robins around 8 am this morning. They were at my bird bath and in the trees around the bird bath. It was about -1 degrees when I spotted them. We have had some very cold spells with low wind chills so was very surprised to see them this early in the season. Today we had a high of 11 degrees but are expecting another low of -13 in two days, with wind chills expected to be -30 to -35 degrees. Today there was a huge snow storm in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa & Missouri with 10" reported in many areas. I'm wondering if that had anything to do with them heading north to get out of the path of the storm.
