Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 02/03/2014

Number: 50

We had a snowfall on Monday Feb. 2, 2014, of about 8 inches. On Tuesday Feb. 3, we had a large amount of robins in our yard because of a large holly tree full of berries. It was hard to count with the frenzy going on with them flying into the holly tree getting berries and then going to the other trees in our yard to eat them. They also used our newly shoveled driveway as a place to stop to eat and then go back to the tree and refuel I would have to estimate that there would have been at least 50 robins. They were also flying to the neighbors drives and sidewalks. I will admit they made a mess. I have not ventured up to the tree to see if they have striped it but I think they have because the activity has ceased. I don't know what the cedar waxwings will think when they come by and find their food supply stripped for the year.
