Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 02/08/2014

Number: 42

While we did have a group that arrived shortly after the first wave, the robins appearing over the past week, seem to have a mix of blackbirds among the flocks. A more frantic feeding behavior is observed this time. We have an area that has a natural carpet of lichen. They have literally torn and destroyed the lichen carpet. Nice, lush, bright green, and growing well. It's a very wet area, so we are certain they are in search of certain insects. Other times of the year they have enjoyed some earthworms in the carpeted portion of the property.
