Hummingbird, Other Species Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 02/12/2014

Number: 1

Last fall, I posted a photo of an odd-looking male hummingbird coming to my feeder and wondered what it might be. I got several very helpful responses, one of which turned out to be correct. Karen Metz wrote, “I think this might be a young male Anna's.“ I’ve kept an eye on this bird all winter long, and it did slowly reveal itself as a male Anna’s. Here’s a photo I took of him earlier today.
