Wife and I were driving from Margaretville to Kingston in the morning on Rt 28 on a lightly overcast day, about 18 degrees, snow definitely covering fields and forest, as we past Shandaken just off the side of the road near a houses drive on a bush ( possibly berry type ) noticed the 4 birds - did not expect - slightly larger then our Juncos we've been seeing most of the time. But then notice the rusty read breast and greyish wings and back as they flew about on the bushes. We did not stop but noted the time as 9:15am with some sunshine. I did not have my camera with me at the time.
