It was the first warm day after a cold snap and 50 or more robins were roosting in the trees and eating holly berries and other berries for the entire day. There was a swirl of winter bird activity with the robins and wrens, chickadees and grackles. There was lots of singing from the robins, something I never heard before. My neighbor cited the robins in another area of the city of Peekskill the following week.
