December 2013: Daily totals from Monterey Bay Whale Watch
The southbound migration is underway with the number of whales traveling south increasing each week! The month had a fairly slow start, with Gray Whales trickling through alone or in small groups. However since December 22nd we have been seeing 20-50 whales every day! We have also seen some very interesting behaviors, including a couple Gray Whales breaching on December 12th and 27th!
