Tulips PLANTED
Sightings report image

Date: 02/05/2014

Number: 1

Ms. McComas' third grade class, 3D, planted 22 tulips on 2/5/14. We know that we are late in planting our tulips because we missed many opportunities to do so given the severe weather. Because we planted late we think that our tulips may bloom later than others in the area. It was a rainy, partly sunny day of about 68 degrees. Students estimate that tulips may emerge one month from now. We planted them 4 inches apart and 7 inches deep. Each tulip bulb was planted with bone meal. We used a special bulb planter that made the job easier. We look forward to planting our experimental bulbs.
