Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 02/23/2014

Number: 1

Bright sunny day, early morning singing.

February 25: I heard them again this morning, and I would say it is the Dawn song. This would be my third sighting/hearing. The first time, I couldn’t believe my eyes, as it was early February with still lots of snow on the ground. I didn’t record it because it was rather fleeting and I wasn’t 100% certain. However, we have lots of cedars and evergreens and my neighbours feed birds all winter, and the next two sightings were in the same area. On all three occasions the robins have been plump and red, not the normal scraggy on first return, look. I was actually wondering if they might have over-wintered not far away.
