Staff at the Virginia Living Museum report that the first Journey North tulips planted in the museum's Children's Learning Garden by Judy Molnar's Adventures in Nature class of age 6-8 year old students emerged today. Four of the students had planted the tulips in December. The bed was empty on Friday and the warm weekend coaxed them out by this morning despite our woodchuck [Chesapeake Chuck] forecasting 6 more weeks of winter back on February 2nd. Our Children’s Learning Garden began with Journey North tulips planted in Fall 1998. Contact us for long term data!
