Although some Robins overwinter in the nearby area of LaFayette NY this is one of the earliest sightings I've had of a Robin during extremem cold. We did have however a three day warm spell. It happened on Friday @ 01:30 PM. What also made this sighting unusual earlier in the day @ around 08:30 AM a flock of 25 to 30 Grackles passed over our home. I didn't see any Redwings with the flock. Don't normally see Grackles until early march.
