Tulips EMERGED

Date: 02/25/2014

Number: 1

What a surprise! Our very first tulip has finally emerged. Hazaa! It took a total of 46 days for our first tulip to poke-up out of the cold soil in our garden. Pablo's tulip was the first to pop-up! Savannah continues to help teach others in our classroom how to measure and record the above and below surface temperatures. She is a great student scientist. We will soon post images of our garden and tulips. Chase asked a really great question about why last year's tulips are much further along than this year's tulips - even though they were planted at the same time of the school year, though one year apart. We are going to explore the scientific possibilities for this great question. Please write us if you have any ideas for this question. Good luck with your gardens!
