Tulips EMERGED
Sightings report image

Date: 02/16/2014

Number: 1

Ms. McComas' class wasn't able to check on their tulips today as it is raining. But our computer teacher went briefly outside to take a photo of our emerged tulips so that we could file this report. She counted 16 emerged tulips. We knew our tulips might emerge later as we planted them later (in Feb instead of Jan). Students noticed that the emerged tulips have a unique adaptation that allows water to collect at the base of the stem. You can see this from our attached photo.
