I was in Granville County, NC, around 1:30 pm. on February 21, 2014. It was a very cold day cloudy out, and I was passing a huge old Oak tree. There sitting on a branch was my first sighting of a Bald Eagle. I was sitting in a car, looking out the window. The Eagle stayed there for almost 10 minutes, then flew off and landed in another Oak tree, just south of where we were parked. The bird was awesome! There are no lakes close by, only ponds, and I was surprised to see the Eagle almost in my backyard. A very wonderful experience!!!
