Robin (First HEARD singing)

Date: 02/27/2014

Number: 1

Robins are beginning to sing in the hood !

Southwestern Idaho is unique in that it usually stays a bit warmer than the northern two thirds of the state...hence we are known as the banana belt of the state...and because of that at least a robin or two is present in my foothills home all winter long...hence they establish territory sooner and sing earlier.

In the past two weeks I've heard the True and Dawn song as well Peek and Tut calls and the Whinny. My hunch would be territorial (singing).
