Recently, in mid February, we have had very cold weather but when it warmed up, and I was repairing damaged beds, I came upon two monarchs - moving very slowly as if stretching. I left them to thier own space. Never witnessed them fly. they clung to the plants, perhaps a bit weather shocked.
