We returned from the weekend to a lovely 70 degree day. Five of our test garden tulips emerged. We also planted tulips at 5" and 9" deep for a class experiment. Five of the tulips planted at 5" have emerged, and are taller than our test garden tulips. Two of the 9" deep tulips emerged as well, but are shorter than the 5" and 7" plants.

We also noticed that 88 of the tulips bulbs from last year had emerged. They are much taller than the new plants for this year.
