Monday, March 10th, 2014 clearly heard a distinctive bird call. It was a red-winged black bird. Our class was walking on the local bike trail. On the stroll we took a break around a pond that is located on the trail. We listened and made observations of what we heard and saw. That is my first sighting of a red winged black bird this year.
