Tulips BLOOMED
Sightings report image

Date: 03/13/2014

Number: 1

Mrs. Sires' class, 3C, was excited to find that 17 tulips had bloomed! 4 have yet to bloom. Students noticed that a few tulips petals had translucent edges and others had green or yellow stripes on them. At the center of the bloom it was purple and yellow. When students touched the center they got purple powder on their finger tips. They suspect that this is pollen. A student thought that the petals looks like red velvet carpets! The leaves were thick and had purple colored tips. Today's weather is warm with some wind, clear skies with 51 degrees. Our tulips are beautiful!
