I saw my first hummer on the 10th of March, he was darting around the carolina jasmine that is growing along my fence and neighboring trees. I was inclined to think I had imagined it, but I spotted a second one on the 14th of March resting at the top of my willow. It swooped down to investigate the carolina jasmine and then disappeared in amongst the foliage. Hopefully I will be better prepared next time and will have camera at hand.
