This is a update to my January 31st report. I have been observing two of the chrysalis all this time. They are extremely small. Much to my surprise,they hatched this week. One on March 10th and the smallest today March 16th. Attached is a photo. I am a little worried about him, as his wings look like they might not fully open. I have never seen a chrysalis that small give way to a butterfly that large. I hope he makes it. What a treat for this time of the year, when we had such a brutal winter.
