I was driving south on Rt 15 (the Merritt Parkway) at around 5 pm on Thursday, March 13, 2014, when I saw large numbers of robins scattered all over the grassy verge on the right-hand side of the parkway. There were many, many robins on the roadside grass for about 1/3 of a mile, heading south.
