Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 03/20/2014

Number: 1

I spotted a beautiful male Ruby Throat at feeder in tree today at 4 pm. He sat and sipped about 20 sips. I left a feeder up year round, and had an occasional hummer feeding, maybe migrating thru (?), and last saw one on Jan. 4th. I am hoping this hummer will hang around, and invite some friends to join him! I will now put out a couple more feeders. Yea, I am hooked and love to watch. I hope I can take a pic. soon. Temp. now is 74 degrees and sunny in Baton Rouge.
