Only two remigrant Monarchs were seen this afternoon ... about
2 pm. They were just NE of the cabin and interacting with each
other thru the mesquite trees ... male/female? two males?
couldn't tell, but they did move off to NNE. There is nothing
flowering to get the monarchs down closer to ground now. The
first A. asperula to bloom is about a week away. Altus and
I drove around the pasture in the ecart for over an hour and
the amount of asperula has doubled in a week. Very light
breeze would switch between NW and SE ... 76 dF ... clear.
