Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/22/2014

Number: 1

Was 12-15 feet away and saw what I am very sure was a large monarch appearing in good shape. Not worn or tattered . However , as I approached on 3 occasions to take a picture, it would take off into the air. Couldn't tell if male or female.

My butterfly garden last spring was the first to attract monarchs since I learned of butterfly milkweed. I raised and released over 130 monarchs, last spring, in wonderful condition.
