We had a huge surprise! When we got back to school from Spring Break, almost all of our 50 Red Emperor tulip bulbs had bloomed:) We were SO excited! They looked beautiful! We noticed that one tulip had two heads on it. We enjoyed the yellow and black center of each tulip. Our Second Grade GATE students wrote field notes in their journals and also sketched an illustration of the garden. Students focused on the beauty of the flowers by creating Georgia O'Keefe style tulip pictures.
