March 26, approximately 3:00 p.m. Morning low of 48-50F warmed up to high 60s low 70s, sunshine. Slender female ruby-throat tried nectar on grapefruit tree in flower.

Useppa Island is a bridgeless island in the intra-coastal waterway between Pine Island and Cayo Costa, so we are always interested in what species make it over here.
