I walked outside very early this morning, about 2:00a.m.I heard what sounded like an alarm coming from the direction of my house. I hurried back but upon approaching my house it became clear I was not hearing an alarm but rather an owl in the pines by my house. After comparing the audio I took to the audios online, I am convinced it was a Northern Saw-Whet Owl.
