The barn swallows (2) returned home today to my front door! The nest was waiting for them from last year. They have already begun adding to it. We tried moving their nest several years ago to a more convenient place for us, but they did everything in their power to rebuild their nest over the door. Out little summer guests won and have maintained their nest over the door ever since.
