Every year since 1998, a few redwing males have returned to our valley on Feb 13 to 15. This year they were a bit later due to a cold and snowy winter, and only a very few arrived, then they were only here on nicer days for a couple of weeks, then gradually returned in force so that now the number here is approximately what it usually is. We are at 3,000 ft. elevation and still have patchy snow on the ground at the end of March.
