Diving duck tragedy in Michigan . It has been reported in the news media that diving ducks are starving to death because of the unusually thick ice still on lakes. As of two days ago, gun lake still was covered by 20 inches of ice and people were ice fishing. The ice depth was told to me by a fisherman. This was the level he bored to.
