We checked our bulbs the day before spring break and they had not yet bloomed. Today, our first day back, we found most of our Red Emperor tulips in full bloom. One of my students asked why his bulb had not yet opened. He is eager to return to the garden tomorrow to see if it will bloom. Others noticed how the tulips emerged and changed colors from brown to green to purple then red. Spring is all around us!
