Robin (First HEARD singing)

Date: 03/31/2014

Number: 1

The robin was singing VERY loudly sitting on a tree limb about 10 feet up. Strangely, this robin was in my backyard. It was startling because we NEVER see robins in the back which is the edge of dense woods. We only see robins in our front yard, and while there have been quite a few visitors this past week, we do not see them very often in general. We used to live about 5 miles from here in a completely open area with few mature trees and we saw robins all the time. The robins would build nests in the short ornamental trees on our street and the babies would get so big, they would fall out of the nests. There were many times I return them to their nests. This was to the delight of the children.
