At 6:15 this evening, a healthy round robin was hopping around on the ground (still ice- and snow-covered) pecking among some scattered bird seed, beneath our feeders. It is very exciting to see that first sign of Spring, here in southwestern Quebec; two days ago we received 'another' 6 inches of snow in this long, cold winter, and we were wondering if we would 'ever' see a robin!
