Our tulips broke ground over spring break! They are now 1.5-2" tall. We have two rows of plantings which are surrounded by ponderosa pines and notice the bulbs covered in shade more of the day are slower coming up. Our next challenge is to keep the deer and other forest critters away from our tulips!
