Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 04/03/2014

Number: 2

I filled a feeder and a few hours later there they were two beautiful brightly colored Ruby Throuted HummingbirdsThat morning we experienced a heavy rain and strong winds followed which may have blown them in. I wait each spring for the past 5 years that I've been feeding them for their return with excitement. I love love watching them fly with such speed and as the days pass they become less frightened by my presence. They are part of our lives here on the farm and are sadden to see the end if summer and them leaving but with everything here on the farm with each season we find new joys to celebrate:))
