I just saw my first Monarch in my backyard butterfly garden (Baton Rouge, LA). It landed on several A. curassavica plants. It stayed long enough to get several pictures. I will check for eggs. I have 20 milkweeds planted with all of the other plants. They have very small blooms and are about 6” high.
